Being healed doesn't mean we never feel pain. It means that we no longer identify with the pain. It means that we are able to care for and love ourselves through the pain. It means that we release our suffering despite the pain. It means that we have power despite the pain. It means that we can see beauty even through the pain. It means that there is more to life than just the pain. It means that the pain is gradually decreasing and no longer dictates our entire reality. It means that we learn to release the pain and move through it without becoming lost within it. Being healed doesn't mean we stop being human, and pain is a part of the human experience. We can't avoid the pain. We can't wish it away. We can't bypass the pain. Yet we can feel the healing by moving through the pain, refusing to stay stuck inside of it and become stagnant within it. Healing means we create space for the pain, and create space for self-love within the pain. We must feel it to heal it. The only way out, is through. Life is allowed to hurt. Healing is allowed to be gradual, with many ebs and flows. This is the dance of life. This is the exploratory human existence. This is a miraculous part of personhood. There is no need to judge our pain, or to judge ourselves for experiencing pain. There is no need to force ourselves through the pain, or to pretend that the pain doesn't exist. Pain is a part of this life experience, yet it is not a part of our identity. That distinction is a big part of healing. Creating space for unconditional presence brings healing. Creating space for energetic release brings healing. Creating space to love ourselves through the pain brings healing. Creating space to gently dis-identify from the pain brings healing. We do not need to stop feeling pain in order to experience healing. It's all allowed. Every piece of the experience is allowed. Even pain plays a role in this transformative venture of the human condition.
